The Gloucester-Warwickshire (Steam) Railway is a friendly heritage line which has preserved a section of the former GWR Cheltenham to Stratford-upon-Avon route. It currently runs between Toddington and Cheltenham Racecourse, but future plans include extending northwards to Broadway - where they are planning to install the former Exminster signalbox - and, ultimately, Honeybourne on the Oxford-Worcester Cotswold Line. There are currently signalboxes at:

Thanks to Danny Scroggins, who arranged visits for me to the first three three signalboxes, so I am able to include shots of the interior equipment on these pages as well as ones of the signals.

Toddington is currently the northern terminus of the line, where the original signalbox (though, sadly, not its lever frame) survived from BR days. View towards Winchcombe
Winchcombe The next station down the line is Winchcombe, where there is another yard as well as a good station bookstall. The signalbox here came from Hall Green, with the lever frame formerly at Honeybourne West Loop.
At the southern end of the line is Cheltenham Racecourse, where the GW(S)R have built a new signalbox of their own. Cheltenham Racecourse
Signalbox and up starter The section from Winchcombe to Cheltenham Racecourse is roughly twice the distance of that from Toddington to Winchcombe, and at busy times such as Gala days this limits the frequency of trains that can be run beyond there. So the GW(S)R are currently working on installing a new loop and signalbox at Gotherington, which will nicely break up that long section. It wasn't yet commissioned when I visited, but here's a sneak preview...

More information about GW(S)R signalling can be found on the "Broadway Signalbox" site.
