The unofficial CRS group is a discussion forum for the Classic Rock Society, a UK-based organisation supporting classic, progressive, melodic and all other genres of rock music from roots to major tour levels.

Originally an official CRS forum, I now run this group on an unofficial basis as an alternative for those who want to discuss topics based around the CRS and the kinds of artist they support, but who (like myself) doesn't find it convenient to have to log into the CRS website to follow their official online forum.

It is hosted by Yahoo! Groups, and gives subscribers the choice of receiving postings individually by email, by daily email digests, or using the group web portal.

To subscribe by email, simply send a blank email to classicrocksociety-subscribe@yahoogroups.com. Anyone can join, you do not have to be a CRS member.

Alternatively, you can subscribe using the form below. This way, you'll have to create yourself a Yahoo! ID if you don't already have one, but you then get full portal access, including Polls and Chat. Just fill in your email address below and click ‘Subscribe’.

After subscribing, you may be emailed a confirmation request, to which you must reply as explained in the message. Once that's done, you’re on!

To post a message, email to classicrocksociety@yahoogroups.com or use the web portal (see below). (Note: to prevent spamming, new group members' postings are initially sent to me first for moderation. Please be patient if your first posting(s) don't come through immediately, as I am occasionally away from the Net for a few days or more. Once I am satisfied you are a bona fide artist, CRS member or fan, I will reset your membership so that future postings go through directly.)

You can choose how you want to receive postings. Instead of individual emails, you can opt for single daily digest messages by sending a blank email to classicrocksociety-digest@yahoogroups.com. The group web portal holds a complete archive of all postings and with a Yahoo! ID you can turn off emails and post via the portal too.
