Irony played a special gig at the Acre with four of their five original members plus Ginni Hogarth again on electric piano and vocals.

So it was good to see Mark Cooper behind the drumkit again - he really did 'thump the tubs' with energy...

...while brother Vince kept playing good guitar licks.

Ginni's vocals certainly add an extra dimension to Irony as she can share the lead as well as just singing harmonies.

Dany's still leading from the front, of course...

...and Steve's enjoying himself as usual on bass.

At the start of the second half, Dany and Steve dedicated one of their more recent songs to Ginni, as it was very apposite in her current circumstances...

...while Ginni, Vince, Mark and other friends enjoyed the performance.

The evening had a personal moment for me too, as Dany has written a song Let It Go which was inspired by an episode I'd told him about in my life, and which I first heard live here. I'm very chuffed, of course, though hearing it live at a gig did stir some unfamiliar emotions! Thanks, guys, for an excellent gig - it really rocked!
